Created in 1971 at the initiative of a group of benevolent company managers and entrepreneurs, this association, in which François Lacoste has played an active role for some time now, is concerned with specialist prevention for young people in difficulty
I. Individual action
II. Collective action with groups
III. Action in and with the living environment
IV. Action in connection with institutions
The action supported by the René Lacoste Foundation concerns an adventure on horseback for a group of children from 12 to 14 years’ old who are having trouble acquiring basic knowledge and whose difficult behaviour at home and around the neighbourhood have become a cause for concern. The timetable for this project can be broken down into three stages:
I. Four week-ends at the riding academy
II. An intermediary 4-day getaway
III. The final 10-day holiday, during the summer, including 8 days on the move camping in the wild, two rest days and the preparation and participation, together with the other association members, of the riding academy show.
